Nick 867321ed05 feat(t21.1): 21.1E governed retirement — complexity_scorer deleted (602 lines)
Full lifecycle: DISCOVER (T20L candidate) → consumers mapped (1: the
TUI hint printer) → dynamic risk checked (clean) → canonical replacement
(classify_mode — the ONE classifier, same route as /build and
conversational) → caller migrated → supersession recorded (construction_mode
supersedes complexity_scorer) → stabilization run green → DELETE → spine
reconciled → full regression green (2061) → lint baseline shrunk
(BLE001 350→347, S110 78→75 — earned by the deletion).

Held-out proving REFUSAL where evidence is insufficient:
message_queue.detect_task_addition has 4 live consumers → NOT deleted
(20L MIGRATION_CANDIDATE stands).

Nick 8bef4682f5 feat(t21.1): deterministic spec-drift detection via revision counters (21.1D)
Wall-clock timestamps are metadata, not causal ordering (same-second
events share a stamp — the T21 race). Every material_change now bumps
material_revision; every revise_spec records covers_material_revision.
spec_drift_status() is the callable consistency gate: material >
governed → SPEC_VERSION_DRIFT + durable obligation. 7 held-outs cover
mandate CASES A-G (drift on change, no false drift on metadata,
PATCH/MINOR close, move-only stable, old-version proof reopens).

Nick dcead3fecc fix(t21.1): universal wait-guard closure + execution-context hardening (21.1B/21.1C)
- 21.1B ROOT CAUSE (DB evidence): the live bypass (2026-09-16 12:59Z)
  was a 6-segment multiline sleep 540 → cd → git fetch → releases curl
that walked past the 3-segment lookahead. wait_guard.py now scans ALL
segments downstream of the sleep; TS hook matches (v3); 21B-4 bypass
held-outs green incl. the EXACT live command.
- 21.1C: repo-affecting commands carry explicit cwd (systemic fix):
project_registry.resolve_cwd() (raises on unknown projects —
refuse mutation, never guess); hook CwdGuard refuses repo-touching
  bash without explicit cwd marker (generic shells unrestricted);
4 held-outs mirror the convention in the suite.
- STATUS_POLL_RE broadened (releases API + git fetch shapes).

Nick 6dddb0a5ee fix(wait-guard): full-downstream scan — T21.1 root-caused the live bypass (2026-09-16 12:59Z: 6-segment multiline walked past the 3-segment lookahead; DB evidence proved the exact command). 21B-4 bypass held-outs now green. Suite 2050. 2026-09-16 15:53:41 +01:00

Nick c8f0a8e353 feat(t21): 21G legacy transformation + 21I task-state ordering fix + 21O deterministic drift test
- 21G: the TUI startup task loader now reads the CANONICAL
TaskStateRepository (17F authority) instead of the task_persist
export ledger; task_persist demoted to session-end export view
(its only remaining role). Characterized first, migrated with
  fallback, BLE001 handler made visible.
- 21I: terminal _apply_runtime_result ordering REVERSED — canonical
transition commits before legacy cache save; crash now leaves cache
STALE (backfillable) instead of AHEAD of truth. 6 fault-injection
  held-outs incl. a structural source-grep guard.
- 21O: spec-drift test made deterministic.

Nick abe24da81d chore(store): T21 evidence 2026-09-16 05:08:14 +01:00
Nick 15c54539b5 fix(operator): canonical-first ordering in terminal task path (T21 21I)
The T20 cold benchmark's crash-window risk was REAL: the terminal
_apply_runtime_result block saved the legacy cache (operator.json) to
disk BEFORE the canonical TaskStateRepository.transition() — a crash
between left the cache claiming completed/failed while canonical truth
still said running. Reversed: _ensure_canonical + transition commit
first; _save() follows. A crash now leaves the cache STALE (backfillable)
instead of AHEAD. 6 fault-injection held-outs including a structural
guard that greps the real source for ordering regressions.

Nick e2f536f71a feat(t21): living capability specs + strict internal SemVer (21C/21D/21E)
- spec layer on the EXISTING capability ledger (no second authority):
  requirements/expected_behaviours/non_goals/acceptance_criteria +
version_history with full bump provenance (reason, changed sections,
  affected consumers, validation consequences).
- strict SemVer machinery: classify_version_bump derives
PATCH/MINOR/MAJOR from the change shape; proposed kinds verified
against actual (unjustified bumps raise); no-change revises raise.
- baseline policy (21D-1): explicit governance_version_started_at +
baseline_reason; real Rune capabilities baselined 0.1.0-0.4.0 by
contract maturity (no fake 1.x history).
- version-aware quicksand (21N): MAJOR break reopens behaviours with
  version-referenced reasons; proven-against-old-version history
  queryable; unrelated capabilities version-stable.
- spec drift (21O): material change without bump = detectable ordering
  signal; deterministic held-outs.

Suite 2039 green.

Nick 124b77e95b feat(t21): wait-guard regression protection + MiMo controller hook (21B)
- 21B-1: Rune sleep audit — no UNJUSTIFIED_SLEEP in active paths;
  auto_bump_pr.py polling classified legacy (21G candidate). T20's
sleeps were MODEL-GENERATED Bash (controller-level defect).
- 21B-2/3: controller is a compiled binary (not source-patchable) —
guard implemented at the extension surface: ~/.mimocode/hooks/
  event-wait-guard.ts via @mimo-ai/plugin tool.execute.before.
  LIVE_PROVEN_THIS_SESSION: v1 hot-reloaded and intercepted a tool
  call mid-session (no restart). v1 false-positive (heredoc
documentation containing the pattern) found live and fixed: v2
requires sleep+poll pairing across adjacent segments with heredoc
  bodies stripped.
- 21B-4: wait_guard.py — Python mirror of the classification logic in
the Rune suite (survives model changes/compaction); 8 held-outs
reproducing the exact T20 patterns (540/300/600 sleeps + status
probes blocked; heredoc docs, bare sleep, short backoff, segment
  isolation permitted).

model changes, compaction, provider swaps).
Detection: a command SEGMENT (split on ; | newline && ||) that combines
a long sleep (>= 30s) with a status query of CI/deploy/release state.
Heredoc bodies are stripped first (v2 precision fix — documentation
about the pattern must not trip the guard).

RETRY_BACKOFF bounded retry loop inside a script

# 21B — MiMo Code controller sleep/poll audit + guard (2026-09-16)
## Controller identity (verified, not assumed)
- Package: @mimo-ai/cli (npm), launcher at
/home/nick/.local/share/npm/lib/node_modules/@mimo-ai/cli/bin/mimo
- Runtime: compiled native binary (ELF x86-64, Bun-compiled, not stripped)
at .../@mimo-ai/mimocode-linux-x64/bin/mimo — NOT source-patchable.
- Extension surface: ~/.mimocode/hooks/*.ts via @mimo-ai/plugin Hooks API
(tool.execute.before with cancel). Hot-reloads per turn.
Precedent: no-blocking-wait.ts (2026-09-07), production-proven.
## Controller sleep/poll audit
- The controller binary has no extension-surface polling loops. The T20
regression (`sleep 540; <CI status probe>`) was MODEL-GENERATED Bash
passed through the controller's shell execution — the correct
interception point is tool.execute.before. Guard = event-wait-guard.ts.
## LIVE PROOF (LIVE_PROVEN_THIS_SESSION)
- v1 guard written mid-session; hot-reloaded IMMEDIATELY (same turn):
it intercepted the very next Bash tool call — the guard's own evidence
file write — because the heredoc contained the literal text "sleep 540".
- False positive acknowledged and fixed in v2: pattern detection now
requires sleep + status-poll in the SAME command segment, with heredoc
bodies stripped before scanning.
- The interception itself is the live proof: the harness accepted the
hook, matched the pattern, cancelled the tool call, and delivered the
redirect message — without any controller restart.
## Rune-side classification (21B-1)
See 21B1_rune_sleep_audit.md — no UNJUSTIFIED_SLEEP in active paths;
auto_bump_pr.py polling loops classified legacy (21G candidate).

## Scaffolding subsystem version: 1.0.0 (EARNED)
capability:scaffolding-v1 baselined 1.0.0 with explicit
governance_version_started_at and baseline_reason (21S).
## Known residuals (ordinary refinement, not architecture)
- Env-deterministic CI type-checking (VAL-RUNE-010 pending)
- Ledger auto-derivation breadth (~37% file coverage, honest)
- Remaining MIGRATION_CANDIDATEs (task_persist export view,
message_queue regex detection) — classified, not urgent
- /testing rune backlog awaits systematic user validation sessions
