Auditing how legible the tooling is to a working agent

What is this about: Audit how legible the harness and context are to a working agent: can it find ownership, tests, and contracts quickly, without ceremony?

Why do we need it: Complexity should buy clarity, not more reasoning overhead.

Why is it still open: Not started; depends on ADAPT-3/4/5/9 (three of four done).

What would let us close this

  • Audit report written: what is legible, what isn't, at what cost
  • No new abstraction added merely to satisfy the audit

Version impact (declared at submission — verified at merge)

  • major — breaking: changes a contract, schema, or interface others depend on
  • minor — new capability: something becomes possible that wasn't
  • patch — repair: same behaviour, done correctly
  • none — touches no released artifact (docs, memory, process notes)

Technical details (original description, preserved)

Original issue body

Depends on: ADAPT-3/4/5/9. Repo/context output intentionally bounded; ownership/tests/contracts prioritized; adjacent interfaces next; broad semantic/warm-neuron context secondary and relevance-gated — do not inject generic philosophical neurons into engineering work merely because they fired. Immediate syntax/lint feedback; focused regression tests before broad suite; exact target-SHA isolated worktree invariant retained; direct logs/metrics/traces; real runtime checks; deterministic architecture invariants.

Acceptance: spend complexity on legibility and feedback, not more reasoning ceremony. Do not add a new abstraction merely to satisfy this issue.

⚠️ Priority gate: this issue has no priority. Assign exactly one of P0 — critical (spine/correctness/blocks), P1 — high (material value or real defect), P2 — medium (quality/consolidation), P3 — low (measurement/deferred). An issue without a priority is not filed.

⚠️ **Priority gate:** this issue has no priority. Assign exactly one of **P0 — critical** (spine/correctness/blocks), **P1 — high** (material value or real defect), **P2 — medium** (quality/consolidation), **P3 — low** (measurement/deferred). An issue without a priority is not filed.
